TASTING NOTES

A Guided Tasting of Chocolate
Our haut-chocolat is infused with a healing sound frequency to raise your vibe.

BREATHE
Close your eyes. Take three deep, ujjayi breaths. Listen to the space between thought and prepare your palate to experience chocolate.

SEE
Describe what you see. What is the shape, color, sheen and texture?

TOUCH
Run your finger against the chocolate, noticing its texture and releasing the aromatics.

SMELL
Bring the chocolate to your nose. Close your eyes, cup your hand around the chocolate and inhale deeply.

TASTE
Enjoy your haut-chocolat in two bites. In the first bite, you are just getting to know the truffle, and in the second, you delve deeper, searching out the aromas and nuances. You become immersed in the experience of the chocolate and the sensations. After you’ve eaten the chocolate, take a breath and taste the air. The aroma should have a long, lingering finish that is layered with perfumed notes.

THE STORY

In the enchanted glade, mystical gardens brim with fantastical flora and emerald moss blankets the ground. Fairies with translucent wings flit between raspberry brambles scattering luminous sparkle pollen and humming a faint, enchanting melody to perk up the ears of the bunnies below. These spritely bunnies craft confections in their own likeness, treats they fill with fairy-kissed raspberries to bewitch and remind all who taste them of this haven of sweetness and wonder from where they come.

    Rose Oil
    Bulgaria
Roses bloom at night. Between the Balkan and Sredna Gora mountain ranges in central Bulgaria lies the renowned Valley of Roses. 80% of the world’s finest rosewater and rose oil is sourced from this valley due to its exquisite quality and distinct aroma. The valley’s inhabitants have been distilling these coveted buds for over 300 years, meticulously refining the Rosa Damascena, Alba, and Centifolia varietals for their distinguished oils. Our rose oil hails from the family-owned Enio Bonchev Distillery, founded over 100 years ago and acknowledged worldwide for its best-in-class, organic rose oil. The family harvests the roses from mid-May to mid-June. During the month’s long process, production is continuous – 24 hours a day. They work tirelessly, picking the night-blooming buds between the cooler hours of 4 am and 10 am, when the oils are in the petals and the fragrance is most heady. Once the sun radiates its more intense heat, the essential oils retreat from the petals and into the flower’s stem, and the harvest of the day halts. Then distillation can begin; immediately upon picking the blooms they are steam-distilled and rehydrated to extract the rose’s oil and rosewater. It takes a staggering three and a half tons of roses to produce just one kilogram of rose oil.

Loved these!

These little bunnies were so yummy! The raspberry filling was very fruity and not too sweet. Of course the chocolate was top notch as I’d expect from everything Vosges.
