Named after the Mackenzie Clan who became owners of The Dalmore distillery in 1867, this refreshing drink with its raspberry and orange tanginess beautifully balances the woody, rich notes of the whiskey and port. A fresh, sophisticated summer celebration.

Ingredients
1 ½ oz The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve
½ oz tawny Port
½ oz raspberry syrup
orange wedge or seasonal fruit for garnish
Directions
Add all ingredients to an ice filled rocks highball glass and top with soda water. Garnish with an orange wedge or seasonal fruit. If raspberries are not in season, make a simple syrup using seasonal substitutes like plum, fig or strawberry.
Raspberry Syrup
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cup raspberries
Directions
In a small saucepan boil all ingredients together until the sugar is completely dissolved. Cool to room temperature. Strain out fruit and chill before use. Lasts for a week in the refrigerator. This recipe can be used with any seasonal fruit.
